First known as "the Robert story" the exploits of Robert and his MacLennan friends grew into what I hope one day will be three books. My attempt is to deal with the characters and plots on a more complex level than I have in the past. Not to disregard characters, plots, and all the themes... but also to include the sorts of tiny details that not only make the novel real-to-life but included in the storyline. It's the tiny planned out details that are noticed but the function of which do not become clear until many moons later. It's the tiny details that make the story come to life and live not just as a good story to read but an exciting adventure people will want to re-read.

1. Dum Spiro Spero: The Son of Kintail

Presently unfinished. It is the story of Alec MacLennan, second son of the last MacLennan clan cheiftain. It is a tale of romance, faith, battle, and destiny.

2. Dum Spiro Spero: The Warrior of Kintail

Presently unfinished. Sequel to Dum Spiro Spero: The Son of Kintail. It is a coming-of-age novel about a young boy named Robert Douglas MacLennan. Central themes concern faith, belief, love, friendship, betrayal, loyalty, and of course Scottish Honor

3. Dum Spiro Spero: The Lady of Kintail

Creation Date: ongoing
Presently unfinished. This novel, a sequel to Dum Spiro Spero: The Warrior of Kintail, follows the character of Chlora MacLennan as she struggles to provide and protect her family in the times after the clan risings of '45 and subsequent lost war.
