I never claimed to be a poet, and that's good because I'm certainly not one! But here are a few attempts that I don't laugh too hard at myself for writing. Some are borderline "ok"

Description: Inspired and based on the meaning and impact of the Battle of Culloden
2. Song of the Vampiress

Description: Though once accompanied by a rather predictable novel I've long-since abandoned, this poem now stands on its own.
3. The Captain's Son

4. Professional Painter

Description: Quick poem about the differences between kinds of professional painters
5. History on a Stone
Creation Date: November, 2001
Description: Poem based on an experience halfway through my novel, DSS: The Warrior of Kintail. It is based on Robert's emotions after his friend has died, and his coming to terms with his shamed grandfather.
6. Finding Myself in You
Creation Date: December, 2001
Description: Poem based on the romance in my novel, DSS: The Warrior of Kintail. It is written in Robert's voice and perspective using techniques borrowed from Rabbie Burns.
7. Auld Lang Syne, Added Verses
Creation Date: December, 2001
Description: Added verses to the famous poem, the song that no one knows. I
offer the verses of the orignal, my added ones, English translation, and a study analysis of why I added what I did.
